If you ever catch me at a wedding, the first thing I usually grab are the bouquets (all of them in one big scoop usually) to photograph. I tend to look pretty ridiculous carrying ALL the bouquets around, but I have some big plans for these special flowers. I am basically drawn to flowers of any kind, they are one of my favorite things to capture at a wedding. I’m not really sure why either. I think it may have something to do with the fact that when I was first learning photography and delving into it I always snapped photos of flowers. I even did my final photography project in college on blooms. I created a booklet and passed it around class featuring black and whites of only flowers. I know it may seem silly, but I think it was that love of photography beautiful items that led me and now my husband to photographing weddings. I love their bright colors, which is something we always try to bring forth in our photography. I don’t think we will ever be the photographers with dull colors…we just LOVE color too much! I wish I could write an even long post about all the talented and amazing people we’ve worked with who create such beautiful bouquets, but the list would go on forever. Plus, I have a 5 month old and well….writing a blog right now with a 5 month old is a bit difficult. At this moment he is bouncing very excitedly next to me in his bouncer and if he catches me even looking at the computer and not him for two seconds he screams. And not just a regular scream, but a high-pitch ear piercing scream. I wouldn’t change any of it. We tried for this little miracle for almost 2 years, but that’s another story for another blog post. Today, I wanted to share some images with you of some of our favorite bouquets and flowers from the weddings we’ve captured over the years. Enjoy all the color and beauty these special plants always bring forth.
